Paris's Olympic Games in 1924 have quite various results from Tokyo's in 2020. Indeed, the leaderboards are showing some differences
, even if they also have some similarities.
Those gaps between the results in a century are explained by various factors, such as the evolution of the hopes in terms
of sportive performances or by the addition of new disciplines, completely different from the ones we had at the start. As
an example, recently, breakdance was added into the disciplines, along with surf or even skateboard. The number of medals can not be
comparated, but the official leaderboard rankings can. Between 1924 and 2020, the Unitied States often led the rankings, with
a significative spacing between their number of medals and the second ranked ones, which are Finland in 1924 and China in 2020.
Finally, to complete the podium with the third ranks, it was France in 1924, and Japan in 2020. Aside from the Unitied States, who
are conservating their first plance, the rankings are quite different, and the number of given medals rises at almost every Olympic Games
edition.
