What is an insect?
An insect is an animal composed of two antennae, a head, a thorax, an abdomen and six pastes. Spiders, ticks, scorpions, sowbugs, and centipedes are not insects. What are insects useful for?
Fertilization: Because of their droppings and the debris they cause to fall during their travels, they bring tons and tons of natural fertilizers excellent for soil fertilization.
Recycling: Some insects eat organic waste such as tree bark or dead leaves, nibbling them or eliminating them with their droppings. This waste disappears into the soil, where it will be reused by plant roots.
Cleaning: A lot of insects, clean or eat the bodies of dead animals. Thanks to this natural cycle, the remains disappear into the ground, so cleaning of forests and green spaces is free and natural.
Destruction: The insects are eaten between them which makes it possible to avoid to find everywhere and to be invaded by these small animals. If these little animals were to disappear, the human species could survive only 50 years.
Food of humans: This is the theme of our site. We will see through this, how insects can constitute food for men while examining the constraints related to health, economy and the environment
The capacities of these insects:
They can survive extreme temperatures, and live in acidic aquatic environments, and even in space vacuum.
