Thus it is in this objective that the USSR threw the first satellite artificial in the space in 1957. This event was very badly lived by the Americans because the Russians had proved that they were upper. For forty years of the Russian Revolution, the Russians decide to send a dog named Laïka in the space, what made it the first living being has to travel in the space. Once again, the Americans badly lived this event because they were outstripped by the Russians, become the pioneers of the conquest of space. In 1961, Russia succeeds in sending the first man in the space of the History: old Youri Gagarine of 27ans. This program was named Vostok. This mission confirms the superiority of the Russians on the conquest of space.



The American answer:
Further to this humiliation the Americans decide to throw an ambitious spatial program: the mission Appolo. The mission Appolo aims at sending Men on the Moon. So, the United States wish to resume the leadership to the Soviet citizens. On July 21st, 1969 at 3:17 am, French time, Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin settle on the Moon aboard their lunar module. Half an hour later, Armstrong puts the foot on the Moon and realizes the first step of the Man on the Moon. He will make history at this moment by pronouncing the sentence "A small step for the Man, but a big step for the humanity". With this mission, the United States realize one of the biggest scientific and technological exploit of the History. The dream of the Americans is realized: they exceeded the Russians in the race in the space.



The end of the rivalry Américano-russe:
he end of the American-Russian rivalry is marked by the mission Appolo-Soyouz, signed in 1972 by the United States and the USSR. Both rockets take off July 15th, 1975 and two days later, they moor. 

Today, the nations of the world collaborate within the ISS ( International Space station).

Space X an American private enterprise managed by the billionaire Elon Musk is, this man has the ambition to reach the planet Mars with a rocket new generation and to build a kind of village there. This rocket is capable of being reused several times to save money. To fuel these rockets without need for provisioning, Space X imagined a model of reservoir which is in the course of test and which would answer all the standards and the compulsory constraints. But, Space X especially wants to make of Mars a base camp which will allow to make unstick rockets since this planet with the aim of visiting exoplanets.
